Affiliate Disclosure

Formation.Legal is an independent research platform. To keep our core research, datasets, and the Route Planner tool free for founders, we generate revenue through affiliate partnerships.

How it works

When you click on links to various merchants or service providers on this site and make a purchase, this can result in this site earning a commission. This comes at absolutely no additional cost to you.

Our Editorial Guarantee

Our affiliate relationships do not dictate our recommendations.

  • We only recommend a provider if they legitimately fit a specific founder's "route" (business model, country, and banking needs).
  • We routinely highlight the negative aspects, hidden fees, and limitations of providers that pay us commissions.
  • If a non-commission provider is the best option for a specific route, we will recommend them over a commission-paying provider.

The Reality of Formation Affiliates

Many formation blogs exist solely to push the provider with the highest payout. We explicitly reject this model. Our value proposition is our accuracy regarding bank account approvals, compliance requirements, and Stripe access for non-US residents. Recommending the wrong provider for a quick commission would destroy that value.
